Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin is an outgrowth of a Chef apprenticeship program that was sanctioned by the American Culinary Federation in 1981. In pursuit of excellence as a premier educational facility, the school concentrated on curriculum content, educational objectives, and student success. Program excellence triggered enrollment increases which eventually lead to a move to larger quarters in 1989. Known since September 1999 as Texas Culinary Academy, the name was changed in 2010 to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin.
